Maule M7 Cowl Plugs

Our padded Maule M7 cowl plugs (also known as cowl bungs) are built tough for New Zealand conditions using marine-grade vinyl and sewn with high-strength bonded polyester thread. UV-resistant polypropylene webbing ensures durability in harsh sunlight.

Each cowl plug includes a rear zip so the internal foam can be easily removed and dried if needed.

Single engine cowl plugs are supplied with a 200mm high red safety flag and streamers to prevent accidental engine start-up with plugs installed. Strong cord is tied between plugs to loop over propellor so if engine accidentally started plugs will be thrown out.  

All cowl bungs are made to suit individual aircraft—some models may also require separate air intake plugs, which are available on request. Rear plugs are also available.
